Part 1 in a series of posts looking at great Halloween DJ mixes...

Death Waltz's Halloween Mix by DJ BobaFatt (FACT mix 407)
This was a 2013 mix curated by Death Waltz Records founder Spencer Hickman and mixed by DJ BobaFatt. It's a superb mix of dancy, electro-disco soundtrack vibes spliced with a maximum load of cult horror film samples. I'm not sure you could really feature more dialogue samples without tipping the boat, but BobaFatt manages a perfect balance in this one. And again, it's high-energy, dancy and fun. Have a listen:
If you dig this one as much as I do, then I have GREAT news for you: It's just one of multiple mixes that Death Waltz and DJ Bobafatt worked on. I downloaded most of them back in the day, but this sort of thing tends to vanish after a while. Luckily, DJ Bobafatt himself has made ALL of his work with Death Waltz available in a single Mixcloud track titled The Dearth Waltz Halloween Box Set. It's nearly six hours of spooky greatness:
I'll feature more Halloween mixes I love in the weeks ahead. In the meantime, you can learn more about Death Waltz records right here and find DJ BobaFatt on Soundcloud, the above Mixcloud and Bandcamp.
