Uncanny soundscapes to rend the veil of reality this Halloween...
When it comes to the purely uncanny Halloween mixes -- soundscapes to inspire dread and a feeling of strange, dark worlds impeding on our own -- there's no beating The Wyrding Module. His original material is all supurb (explore some of it here, on his Bandcamp page) but he has also blessed us with some supurb Halloween mixes in the past, which he hosts on his Soundcloud Page.
Both of these mixes are excellent, but I do want to draw attention to an especially splended portion about an hour into the 2015 mix. Here, The Wyrding Module combines a subtle, stirring guitar track with an excellent conversation between Vincent Price's Prince Prospero and John Westbrook's Man in Red, from 1964's The Masque of the Red Death. It's damn good.
I should also point out that The Wyrding Module is also a master of the visual format as well, with visual components at live performances -- and some thoroughly creepy videos on YouTube. Here's an example:
The Vincent Price dialog is actually in the original track, Bell Wtich - Beneath the Mask. If you like that song the rest of the EP is worth a listen. https://bellwitch.bandcamp.com/album/longing-4
