It's like The Neverending Story, except with kaiju...
This week on Weirdhouse Cinema, we discuss the 1969 Godzilla film All Monsters Attack, which stands out for being the only Godzilla film in which all the monster action takes place exclusively inside a child's dreams. But not in a cheap way! It's actually a really thoughtful kaiju movie, while still delivering the rubber monster suit action you require from the franchise. This is our SECOND Godzilla, film, following 1971's Godzilla vs. Hedorah.
I'm scheduling this post ahead of time, so I'll have to come back and embed it later. But for now, consider listening to it on Apple Podcasts, iHeart Radio or wherever you stream your podcasts.
What's up next on Weirdhouse Cinema? I'm looking at a few different Mexican films. We'll see! In the meantime, be sure to check out the merch store and follow us on Letterboxd! All the movies we've covered are listed there in our list and you can click "read notes" to get links to the individual episodes posted here.
This is a great one! Thank you so much for this Weirdhouse Cinema series, it is truly one of my favorite things to listen to and I have learned so much and watched so many phenomenal movies! :) Love you guys. - Carlee in FL
