Weirdhouse Cinema: Boggy Creek 2

We celebrated Turkey Day with a look at an MST3K-famous film...

Thanksgiving is a bit of a mixed bag, honestly, but one thing I loved about it growing up was the Mystery Science Theater 3000 Turkey Day Marathon -- 30 straight hours of riffed, bad movie goodness. Not only did MST3k teach many of us to find joy in bad or b-movies, it also introduced us to many sorts of weird films that I'm not sure I would have been exposed to otherwise.

So, in this episode of Weirdhouse Cinema, we consider The Legend of Boggy Creek 2: And The Legend Continues on its own merits. We also discuss the 1970 docudrama that started it all, the career of B-movie Bocephus Charles B. Pierce, bigfoot movies in general and more.

You can listen below, or in the Stuff to Blow Your Mind feed on any podcast delivery system. The movie itself is widely available in digital form -- and is currently streaming on Prime in both riffed and un-riffed format.

And if you're looking ahead to the next Friday installment of Weirdhouse Cinema in the STBYM feed, it's going to be another sequel: 1985's Ewoks: The Battle for Endor. If you want to watch ahead, you might need to snag it on DVD or watch it on Russian Youtube.
