It's our most expensive, most mainstream film yet!
We'd been talking about doing a shark movie for Weirdhouse Cinema, and the possibilities included such film as 1981's The Last Shark and 1977's Tintorera. But we decided to go in a different direction and consider a film that represents a bold shift in the direction of sharksploitation cinema: 1999's Deep Blue Sea.
