A solid Australian/New Zealander thriller with an excellent electronic score...
If you’ve been listening to Weirdhouse Cinema, you know that we always note the musical score -- and I feel like we’ve had a string of unremarkable scores lately. I mean, Billy the Kid and the Green Baize Vampire was great in it’s own right, but that was a musical. A different beast. I found myself pining for just a highly effective score on a Weirdhouse selection. This brings us to our first film from Australia and New Zealand: 1982’s Next of Kin.
