Ro-man has conquered Earth! Why can’t he conquer love?
In this episode of Weirdhouse Cinema, we discuss 1953’s Robot Monster, one of b-cinema’s shining treasures. Can the last survivors of the human species overcome the tyrannical rule of a gorilla in a space helmet? I can't stress enough how thoroughly enjoyable and ridiculous this movie is, so we stress that a LOT in this episode. I also draw on some of the excellent info in the book I Cannot, Yet I Must: The True Story of the Best Bad Monster Movie of All Time, Robot Monster by Anders Runestad. Highly recommended for fans Robot Monster or this era of b-cinema in general.
