Weirdhouse Cinema: The Devil's Men

Your standard 70s Satanic cult movie, except with Brian Eno and the Minotaur!

Today’s selection is our first Greek co-production and it’s actually our first Donald Pleasance movie (who has top billing here), a check-in with Weirdhouse Cinema regular Peter Crushing, but it’s also notable for its original ambient electronic score by the legendary Brian Eno. It's 1976's The Devil's Men, also known as Land of the Minotaur.


It's not the most riveting film we've watched on Weirdhouse, but its shortfalls are as interesting as its stand-out elements. The Eno score is highly effective and imbues many scenes with an enhanced dream-like quality.
