The ultimate 1970s desert melt-o-rama Satanism film...
In this episode of Weirdhouse Cinema, we go full-melt and discuss 1975's The Devil's Rain, a star-studded Satansim film that continues to perplex audiences with its dreamlike qualities and logic-defying plot. Helmed by Robert Fuest (The Abominable Dr. Phibes) and starring Ernest Borgnine as the diabolical Jonathan Corbis, it may be short on sense but it's never boring. I'm still not sure what the title is referring to specifically. Watch it for great melt scenes, a fun Borgnine performance and general 70s Night Gallery vibes.
Up next on Weirdhouse, we'll be going 3D again with 1983's Treasure of the Four Crowns. In the meantime, be sure to check out the merch store and follow us on Letterboxd!
