Our FLORIDA MOVIE exploration continues with The Blood Waters of Dr. Z...
Yes, Weirdhouse Cinema's trilogy of Florida Movies continues with the Florida Movie par excellence: Zaat -- also known as The Blood Waters of Dr. Z and Hydra. This 1972 independent creature feature has become a cult classic over the years, and for good reason. Many viewers know it best from MST3K, but the fill cut of the film is loaded down with additional weirdness.

Now, as much as I love these songs, the electronic ambience in Zaat is also tremendous -- they come to us via Floridian electronic musician Jack Tamul:
Anyway, Joe wasn't crazy about Tamul's work here, but I love it. You can also find some of his environmental recordings on Spotify and other streaming websites.
We hope you enjoyed it -- and next week, we'll complete our Florida Movie trilogy with the 1977 aquatic zombie film Shock Waves.
